– Conducting your own due diligence before hiring any Contractor
– Reviewing and negotiating all contract terms directly with the Contractor
– Ensuring the Contractor carries appropriate liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage as required by Georgia law

WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES regarding any Contractor’s qualifications, experience, reliability, workmanship, pricing, legal status, financial stability, or fitness for any particular purpose.

7. GEORGIA HOME IMPROVEMENT LAW

Flooring installation projects may be subject to Georgia home improvement contractor laws codified at O.C.G.A. § 43-41-1 et seq. Under Georgia law:

a) Contractors performing work valued at $2,500 or more may be required to hold a state contractor license issued by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors.

b) You have the right to verify any Contractor’s license status by contacting the Georgia State Licensing Board at (478) 207-2440 or visiting their website.

c) Georgia law provides specific remedies and protections for consumers who hire unlicensed contractors or who experience contractor fraud or misconduct.

d) Certain home improvement contracts may require specific terms, disclosures, or cancellation rights under Georgia law.

e) Local ordinances in Rockdale County and the City of Conyers may impose additional licensing, permitting, or regulatory requirements on contractors.

WE DO NOT VERIFY CONTRACTOR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE LAWS. It is your responsibility to ensure any Contractor you hire complies with all applicable Georgia statutes and local ordinances. We recommend consulting with the Georgia State Licensing Board and your local building department before hiring any contractor.

8. CONTRACTS, WARRANTIES, AND GUARANTEES

ALL CONTRACTS FOR FLOORING INSTALLATION SERVICES ARE FORMED DIRECTLY BETWEEN YOU AND THE CONTRACTOR. We are not a party to any contract between you and any Contractor.

– Workmanship guarantees
– Material warranties
– Completion timelines
– Pricing accuracy
– Project scope and specifications
– Cleanup and disposal services
– Post-installation support
– Defect repairs

Any disputes regarding contracts, warranties, or guarantees must be resolved directly between you and the Contractor. We have no obligation to enforce Contractor warranties or intervene in contract disputes.

Georgia law may provide you with certain cancellation rights for home improvement contracts. These rights are between you and the Contractor. You should carefully review any contract before signing and consider consulting with an attorney for significant projects.

c) Georgia law may provide additional cancellation rights for certain home improvement contracts.

WE ARE NOT A PARTY TO YOUR CONTRACT WITH ANY CONTRACTOR and therefore have no role in any cancellation, rescission, or refund process. You must exercise any cancellation rights directly with the Contractor according to the terms of your contract and applicable law.

We DO NOT:

All payment terms, methods, and amounts are determined solely by the Contractor and you. We are not responsible for any payment disputes, pricing errors, overcharges, or financial matters between you and any Contractor.

WARNING: Never pay in full before work is completed. Georgia law may limit the amount a contractor can require as a deposit. We recommend obtaining written estimates from multiple contractors and paying by methods that provide consumer protection (credit cards, checks with detailed memos). Avoid paying cash when possible.
